Hindustan Foundries, one of the leading foundries in Kerala, was established in 1962 and specializes in supplying castings according to customer drawings and specifications. The foundry produces pearlitic cast iron castings in grades resistant to acids, corrosion, wear, and heat. After more than 33 years of operation, Hindustan Foundries’ products now hold an eminent position in the market for acid-resistant pipes and fittings. The company has over 35 major customers across India and has also ventured into international markets.

As part of our growth strategy, and after more than three decades in the business, the partners have concluded that establishing a new, modern, fully equipped foundry, along with a commensurate machine shop, will enable us to achieve a leading position in our field. We also plan to adopt the latest manufacturing techniques, laboratory, and testing facilities. This will allow us to enter the lucrative market for steel castings and expand our export capabilities.

We are now fully equipped with all necessary casting facilities and are capable of meeting all quality standards to satisfy our customers’ requirements. We hold a prominent position in the market for acid-resistant pipes and fittings, heat-resistant, wear-resistant products, ductile iron, SG iron, steels, MG steel, and also serve the oil refinery sector.

The modern foundry will feature a medium-frequency induction melting furnace with state-of-the-art electronics, capable of achieving a melting efficiency significantly superior to arc or mains frequency melting furnaces—approximately 15 to 20 percent more economical. It is designed to withstand voltage variations without greatly affecting melting efficiency, with an in-plant capacity of up to 225 tons per month.
